After 1 session- child knew proper letter formation. He needed help with size, placement and overall neatness.

Before- 12 year old

After - taught proper letter formation, space, sizing and placement

Before- 12 year old with unconventional pencil grip that caused hand fatigue and control difficulties

After- We worked on sizing and spacing and the formation of a few letters. The result...neat and legible writing!

After- We worked on the conventions of writing and practiced on blank paper. His overall legibility greatly improved!

Cursive is no longer taught in the public schools as it was when I was a kid. I am so glad I found Maple Tree Learning. Pauline Mathiesen made a huge difference in my son's academic success in a short period of time. Mason's grip has changed, I can tell he puts more effort in his writing at school and home, and his handwriting grade improved at school. Most importantly, he had fun learning cursive and improving his handwriting. On Thursday mornings he jumped out of bed quickly and would say, "Today is going to be awesome. Pauline has been working with my 6-year old for several months now. His improvements so dramatic, and what’s even more impressive is his confidence. It’s skyrocketed. He started off with no ability to form letters, or numbers, and now he has these tips and tricks and is a solid writer. I’ll often hear him sing-song the tricks she gives him at random times. On a business front, I’m really impressed with Pauline. She’s communicative (even sends me recaps via email with photos after the sessions), she is prompt, and organized. We sent my older kiddo to her too for a couple weeks during the break, and she helped bridged the gap between some latent skills. We plan to double down at the end of the summer to get the kids ready for 1st and 2nd. Highly recommend Pauline.
